Two go missing in Tamor river

Two people went missing in the Tamor river in Murkuti of Chaubise Rural Municipality-5 on Wednesday.
The missing have been identified as 18-year-old Duwa Moktan and Raj Tamang, 32, police said.
Both were labourers at the Tamor corridor road construction site, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Narendra Kunwar, spokesperson at the district police office.
“The incident occurred at 5pm on Wednesday after the duo slipped and fell into the river,” Kunwar said. “Search for the missing is underway.”
Locals and police personnel have actively been searching for the missing.
On June 23, engineer Siddhartha Kumar Khatri had also gone missing after falling into the Tamor river. His whereabouts are still unknown.
Khatri was carrying out measurement inspections at a bridge when he slipped and fell into the river.
