Three people died in a jeep accident at Narayansthan of Siddhicharan municipality-3 in Okhaldhunga on Sunday morning.

The jeep travelling from Okhaldhunga’s Manebhanjyang Rural Municipality Ward No 1 to the district headquarters, Okhaldhunga, was hit by a falling boulder from the construction site of Okhaldhunga-Nishankhe road section.

There were six people in the vehicle when the accident occurred. A 10-year-old boy and a seven-year-old girl of Taluwa in Siddhicharan Municipality Ward No 1 and a 30-year-old man died in the accident, according to the police.

Laxmi Koirala of Taluwa, Dev Bahadur Shrestha and driver Sanjeev Shrestha of Moli in Manebhanjyang Rural Municipality Ward No 1 have sustained critical injuries and are currently receiving treatment at Okhaldhunga Community Hospital Mission, the police said.
