Police on Saturday recovered the bodies of four people who were found murdered in Gairigaun of Tinkune, Kathmandu.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police Dinesh Raj Mainali, also the spokesperson of the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Range, Kumar Bhujel, his wife Ambika Bhujel, his mother Subadra Bhujel, and Belbari-local Nabin Rai were found dead at the Gairigaun-based ‘Shree Dibya sawmill and wood industry’.

Kumar was working as a security guard at the sawmill. All four victims have sustained cut injuries to their heads and different parts of the body, police said.

A 28-year-old suspect has been taken into police custody for investigation.

The bodies of the victims have been taken to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj for postmortem, Mainali said.

Police suspect that the incident occurred at midnight. Personnel from the Valley Police Office and District Police Range have reached the incident site, and further investigation into the matter is underway.
